Programs & Facilities

These programs are designed, above all, to reach the children of the streets with the love of Christ. It is the goal of Open Arms to show the fatherless that they indeed have a Father in Heaven who cares for them and desires for them to come to Him to receive comfort, strength, and a future.

Our programs attend to the critical and exceptional needs of these children and it is holistic in nature by providing:

  • Basic survival needs

  • Nutrition

  • Rehabilitation

  • Evangelism and discipleship

  • Education

  • Job skill training and development

  • Link up with a local church

  • Placement, as appropriate, in Christian homes

  • Ministry to and fostering relationships with their families

  • Re-entry into normal living

Boy's Farm

The boy's farm consists of two levels where they are received from the downtown center to spend both Level 2, 3, and 4 in San Pedro which is about 1 hour outside of Medellín. Here, many aspects of the boys are addressed: physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational. They can spend from 1 to 4 years here at the Farm.

Maternity Home

The girl's farm is intended protect the girls from the street, drugs, risky abortions, sex trafficking, and/or forced recruitments to delinquent groups. The program offers a family environment and programs that facilitate restoration, such as physical and emotional recuperation, vocational training and the teaching of Christian values.

Downtown Center

The downtown center consists of Level 1 or the Drop-in Center where we make contact and bring the child into the program, motivating him in the process of restoration where once they have faithfully attended the program for over two months, we chose from the group three to four who are transferred to the Farm in San Pedro to begin Level 2.
